Follow a single bet through odds, acceptance, the event result and settlement, with a Tanzanian shilling example.

An offer becomes a bet only when accepted
The price in a market list can change while a selection sits in the bet slip. The confirmation records whether the operator accepted the bet and at which odds. Keep the slip ID, event, market and stake. A tap followed by a frozen screen is not enough evidence to decide whether another submission is needed. Follow the bet slip on mobile to see which account records to check after a delayed or interrupted confirmation.
Understand the return calculation
For a hypothetical TZS 2,000 stake at decimal odds of 2.40, a winning bet produces TZS 4,800 gross return before any applicable deductions. That includes the TZS 2,000 stake, so gross profit is TZS 2,800. A losing bet normally returns nothing for that stake. The quoted price is not a guarantee of the outcome.
The market determines what counts
A match result, a qualification result and a first-half result are different bets even when they concern the same teams. Read whether the market includes extra time and penalties. The event score alone cannot explain settlement unless you also know the market and time period on the accepted slip.
Settlement can include special cases
Postponement, abandonment, an invalid participant or a corrected result may trigger specific rules. A void bet is generally treated differently from a losing bet, and in a multiple it may alter the combined price. Consult the actual rules rather than transferring a rule from a different operator.
Keep the financial stages separate
Settled winnings in an operator balance still need a withdrawal process before they reach a wallet. Identity review, payment limits and transfer status belong to that separate process. Familiarity with a sport does not reduce those account requirements or turn betting into dependable income.

To compare the implied probabilities across a market, use the Bookmaker Margin Calculator. This is a separate margin calculation, not the return from a single bet.
